Launched in 2016, House No: 3028 was founded by Owner and Creative Designer, Thressa Valinteen in Oakland, CA when she realized that women of color were under-represented in fashion.
The inspiration for House No: 3028 came from the frustration that Thressa faced when she went searching for nude shoes. Unless she wanted to pay over $600 for a Christian Louboutin nude, she was unable to find a shoe to match her complexion. Thressa decided to design and sell her own shoes. House No: 3028 pumps allow brown girls to perfectly match, complement or contrast their skin tone.
When Thressa got her first samples of shoes, her brother, Norrell Casey, saw her vision and partnered with her to support House No. 3028's mission: To be the premier provider of nude shoes to women of color. The name, House No. 3028, comes from the address of the childhood home that the siblings grew up in with a personal goal to eventually buy back the family home. Thressa and Norrell’s family home is located in the Oakland foothills and the house number is 3028.
